Our Technology
We’re concerned about every aspect of our patients’ health. That’s why we choose to use digital imaging to take X-rays. This method utilizes 90% less radiation that traditional machines do, which is less harmful for you and your family. You can trust Dr. Counihan and the rest of our Yuba City team to have your best interests at heart during all stages in your dental care. These images allow us to view your entire mouth, and they can also help us notice anything unusual that’s developing beneath your gums or in other hard-to-see places.
When we’re planning a dental treatment, we can use an intraoral camera to show you the areas of your mouth that will receive care. The intraoral camera is wand-shaped, and the images are projected onto a chairside monitor, which allows you to see your mouth at different and new angles. This technology can help you better understand the care Dr. Counihan will provide. Oftentimes, we find that people think of more questions to ask after they’ve been shown the parts of their teeth or gums that would benefit from additional care.
